CHAVIN ARCHAEOLOGICAL MONUMENT
Fifty six construction phases have been identified at this important archaeological site. Upon arriving in Chavin de Huantar, visitors can appreciate the Main square, the Black and White stairways, buildings, the Falconidas gate, the circular square and carved heads.

Besides, Chavin de Huantar has ancient and very curious sculptures among which the following stand out:Â the monolithic oblisk called Lanzon; the Raimondi stela, the Tello obelisk and the carved heads, real works of art that will leave you speechless.
HUASCARAN NATIONAL PARK
It is the highest tropical mountain chain in the world and it is one of the areas with the greatest biological diversity in Peru. This earthly paradise is surrounded by imposing glaciers that bathe the mountain range.
LAGOON 69
Located 96km far from Huaraz, this blue water lagoon is 4570 meters hight. It is surrounded by snow peaks like Chacraraju (6112 m.a.s.l.), Pisco (5752 m.a.s.l.) and  Yanapaqcha (5460 m.a.s.l.). From the lagoon you can also take a path that leads to the refuge Peru – Nevado Pisco.
ALPAMAYO SNOW-CAPPED MOUNTAIN
It is a huge ice pyramid located in Alpamayo stream. This adventure activity must be carried out through an official travel agency with an expert guide in high mountains. Most popular routes start from the village of Caraz to reach Hualcayan till the base of the mountain, it is 6 days roundtrip. It is considered a difficult climb but there are incomparable views from this mountain of 5947 meters high.
ARTESONRAJU
This glacier is one of the main glaciers in the Huascaran National Park, declared a Natural Heritage of Humanity in 1985. This mountain has become famous as the iconic mountain of Paramount Pictures.
