THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
¿What does it consist of?
Our tour begins with a visit to Awanacancha, where we will know about and feed the Andean camelids like llamas and alpacas. Also we will know about the traditional textile techniques. Then, we will visit the colorful Pisac Market where we will have some time free for exploring it and buy crafts, and also –if you want to try something traditional, you can visit the local wood-fired ovens and taste their bread and “empanadas”. We will have then lunch at a local restaurant (beverages not included) and in the afternoon, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied town in South America. Here we will visit the Ollantaytambo Temple, which was used as a fortress during Inca resistance and from where we will have stunning views of the valley.
