THE ROYAL TOMBS OF SIPAN MUSEUM

We will visit the amazing Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum which displays true pieces of art in gold, silver and copper discovered in many Moche tombs. The remains, jewelry and trousseau of Lord of Sipan stand out and were found in the archaeological site of Huaca Rajada in Sipán. This is one of the most important tombs in the world and the richest of America, only compared with Tutankamon in Egypt. The museum has many rooms where we can appreciate more than 400 artifacts made of golds, silver and precious stones such as headdresses, a face mask, a pectoral, necklaces  -as the famous neckless made of peanut, gold and silver, nose rings and ear rings, indicating that the Lord of Sipan was of the highest rank in Moche civilization.
