This impressive museum has more than two thousand pieces of gold belonging to the Mochica culture. It also displays the “Mochica Villages” in which the museum represents the way of life of ancient Moche people.
TUCUME ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE
This site is made up of 26 pyramids among which the most remarkable ones are Huaca del Pueblo, La Raya Mountain and Huaca Las Balsas. Besides the archaeological richness, we can include gastronomy tastings, shaman sessions, traditional medicine introduction and cultural exchange.
BOSQUE DE PÓMAC HISTORIC SANCTUARY
This sanctuary preserves the densest carob tree formation on the planet. It was built to preserve the landscape-cultural unity that makes up the Pomac forest with the archaeological complex of Sican.
PIMENTEL
A modern beach ideal for surfing, nautical motorcycle and windsurf. Its marine tradition is reflected when artisanal fishermen carry out their tasks on the “Caballitos de Totora”: reed boat used in Peruvian Northern coast since pre-Hispanic times.
