THE COLCA CANYON

1st DAY: AREQUIPA-COLCA
After breakfast, we will begin our journey through a stunning landscape full of nature and mountains.  On the way, we will visit Yura district, Aguada Blanca National Reserve and Pampa Cañahuas, natural habitat of alpacas and vicunas. We will stop at Patahuasi for refreshing and enjoy a coca tea; then we will continue our trip to Chivay village.  The afternoon is left at leisure. We suggest visiting the thermal baths of this town.  Overnight in Chivay.
2nd DAY: THE CONDOR CROSS
Very early we will depart towards the Condor Cross from where we will have a breathtaking view of one of the deepest canyons in the world and, if weather permits, we will have the chance to take excellent pictures of the majestic Condor, the biggest and more imposing bird in the world. Afterwards, we will visit Yanque to enjoy the colorful folklore of its people; also we will visit Pinchollo and Maca that “decorate” the Colca Valley with their local architecture.
